When you Reach Me

Hey Kayla here.  I've just read the series the Hunger Games book 2 Catching Fire.  If you've read the first book, you'll know what it's about.  I was really excited about the part when Katniss goes back into the arena.  I was really upset when Cina was killed for trying to make Katniss into the mockingjay.  I was really excited about the end also!!  "Katniss there is no district 12" that was scary.  It took me forever to get the Mockingjay book which I didn't enjoy as much as I did the other ones.  Well 'till next time!!

Book Raving #12

Hi I've just read a book by Lauren Barnholdt called the Secret Identity of Devon Delaney.  It's a book about a girl named Devon Delaney who's parents think about getting a divorce.  Due to that, Devon and her sister Katie have to go live with their grandmother over the summer.  While they are there, Devon meet a girl who lives next door to her grandmother named Lexi.  Devon lies and tells Lexi that she is dating the most popular guy in school named Jared.  Devon basically made up a whole different identity because she is feeling very insecure.  When the school year starts again, Lexi transfers to Devon's school and it's a whole big mix up.  Read this book by Lauren Barnholdt and there's also a second one called Devon Delaney should totally know better which is a very good one.  Bye!

Book Raving #10

Hey! This next book is called Eragon by Christopher Paolini.  It's about a boy named Eragon who finds a dragon egg.  He and the dragon can talk without talking to them with out using words, they communicate using their brains.. It's pretty cool!  It's one of the only fantasy books I've read and I love Fantasy now!!  It's definitely worth being like 500 pages long.  Fun fact, Christopher Paolini (the author of Eragon) wrote Eragon when he was only 18!! I couldn't imagine writing anything like that when I'm 18!! I sure wish though!!

Hi everyone!  I'm so sorry I haven't been able to blog in a while.  I've been reading this series called the Mysterious Benidict Society.  It is about a group of children who take 3 tests that test their knowledge, honesty, and how athletic they are.  After 4 very special children named Reynie Muldon, Constance Contraire, Sticky (George) Washington, and Kate.  Reynie is smart because he studies, Sticky is a genius because he reads things and remembers everything he reads and I do mean every single word!!  Kate is smart but she's more athletic than everyone.  Constance, who is different in a way that you will have to find out later.  She is always grumpy but she is definitely the smartest of the group.  I hope you guys read this book by Trenton Lee Stewart.

Hello,

We have arrived in the new world and we have been here for I believe 2 weeks.  We have meet some nice people in the new world.  Random ships are sailing in every few days with only half the people alive.  I really hope to make new friends as good as you.  I miss you.  Every time I ship pulls in I think of you and wonder when you are going to come.  We have had so many adventures that I know you won't want to miss out on.

Love,
Constance

Hello!  Another great book is called Finally by Wendy Mass.  It is about a girl named Rory who has very overprotective parents who never let her do anything.  Whenever she asks  for things they always tell her she can get it or do it when she turns 12.  When she finally turns 12, she is definitely very fast to start doing all of the things on her list that she couldn't wait to do.  She can get a cell phone, go to the mall with her friends, go to parties, wear make-up and stay home alone. When her parents finally let her do all of the things, she finds that she will find what she needs.

Letters from Americans #1 the trip

Dear Elizabeth,

This trip is awful!  There are so many people getting sick and even dying.  The only reason I am in this filthy ship is that we are going to get to go to a new world.  I even got sick but was quickly cured.  I wish you were here with me.  My ship is called the Mayflower and it is huge but disgusting.  I sleep in a bunk above a snoring man every night and wake up for yet another day of boredom and sitting wondering if we will ever arrive in the new world.

Best Wishes,

Constance
